The Munich rock band Embryo were guests at the old girls' high school in Königswinter. The evening was opened by the rock-blues group “Slot”. This new band comes from the Rhein-Sieg district and has only been playing together for three months. [...]

After a short reorganization break, the musical command then went to the rock band “Embryo”. The line-up of Roman Bunka (guitar, bass, vocals, percussion), Christian Burchard (drums, vibraphone, percussion, vocals), Dieter Miekautsch (electric piano, mellotron) and Maria Archer (vocals, percussion) played jazz-rock unlike any other in this country. Christian Burchard and Dieter Miekautsch's excellent interaction formed the rhythmic backbone. As their bass player is currently in India, Dieter Miekautsch and Roman Bunka alternated on bass. Maria Archer's vocals deserve special mention. The Indian singer immediately had the audience on her side. The highlight of the concert was when Roman Bunka switched to the drums and Christian Burchard to the vibraphone.
